Located in the Caribbean, the island of Grenada boasts a tropical climate. The main exports from Grenada are the spices Mace and Nutmeg. It is the second largest producer of Nutmeg, providing one-third of the world's Nutmeg supply. Compared to Nutmeg oils from other geographic regions, the ones from Grenada contain more Sabinene, a constituent that is reputed to work as an antioxidant that exhibits anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties. Further compared, they contain less Myristicin and Safrole, which are psychoactive and carcinogenic constituents, respectively. Other exports from Grenada include cocoa, citrus fruits, cloves, and cinnamon.
